Trying new ships and preparedness

One of the neater things about Eve University and having access to Jump Clones is the ability to jump from campus to campus and enjoy all of the aspects you want to enjoy in New Eden.

This past month I invested some ISK into several ships. The first was for AMC, an Orca. Pretty dangerous to fly during war time as if it is ever in a system that War Targets are active, without a doubt it will be primaried and lost. Needless to say I take every precaution and understand the risks.

The other ships I purchased was for ratting, mining, and PvP down in low sec. One of the issues I've come across in my Eve career is how the loss of ships - even those you can afford to lose, can leave you somewhat hanging in null sec if you're not prepared enough.

Well 70 hulls later and the modules to equip most of them added with a couple of days fitting most of them... and wallah. Problem solved.

With this many ships in reserve, the loss of a ship here and there isn't as great as it used to be and when I am bored with one type of ship - whether hull size or faction, I can simply switch it up. Now it is true with a couple of factions I am still developing the weapon skills to fit their ships properly but even at a minimum it only takes a few days to be able to fly all the faction ships. Now to fly them well though does take some more time...
